“Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest and only all-Canadian wish granting charity dedicated to granting wishes to Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For more than 30 years, Children’s Wish has worked tirelessly to grant heartfelt wishes to more than 25,000 children and their families – that’s three wishes each and every day, all year long!

Children’s Wish has chapter offices and professional staff in every province, and each wish family is assigned a dedicated Wish Coordinator who is able to personally and carefully structure each heartfelt wish experience to meet the particular needs of the child and their family. Travel wishes include all siblings 21 years and under living in the same household, and families travel worry-free thanks to exclusive Blue Cross insurance.

Our newly expanded reach, which includes children diagnosed with a serious neurological or genetic condition, means continued strong wish referral support through our medical community. Wish referrals continue to increase year over year, and we are proud to maintain our ‘no waiting list’ policy, thanks to our generous donors.”

I was very excited to hear that the Miss Teenage Canada’s Charity of Choice was the Children’s Wish Foundation. Over the past 16 months I have had the opportunity to meet several Gold Ribbon Cancer Champions and I have heard first-hand the incredible experiences that many of these amazing children have had through the Children’ Wish Foundation. Incredible experiences that they have been able to have along with their families; a trip to Hawaii to drink out of a pineapple, the opportunity to meet their real life sports or entertainment heroes, the chance to be a broadcaster for the day, the opportunity to participate in an international fashion show just to name a few. This organization is responsible for putting a smile on the face of a critically ill child, and giving a family a memory to forever cherish. I was excited to start my Miss Teenage Canada Pageant 6 week fund raising project for the Children’s Wish Foundation.

Over the past 6 weeks I have held events, solicited sponsors and introduced some new people to the Children’s Wish Foundation and the incredible work they do.

Several corporations in and around my area were very receptive to my Pageant Wish Campaign that I started to raise money for the charity. Special thanks to all of those companies who joined my Wish Campaign Fundraising project.

I was also fortunate to get the support from entertainer Jason Blaine who donated 2 tickets to his summer concert to raffle off for my Children’s Wish Foundation Fundraising project.

Special Thanks to Jason Blaine

In order to promote the Children’s Wish Foundation and to encourage others to get involved I hosted 2 major fundraising events.

The first event was a fun and challenging evening of Music Trivia that I hosted at Finnigan’s Roadhouse in Renfrew. Brad was a wonderful supporter of the event and DJ Chris Cooper was amazing. Several teams participated and there was quite a competition among all those on hand. A50/50 draw was also held throughout the night. It was a great evening of music, laughter and fun!

One of the Music Trivia teams-they didn’t win but they had fun!

Just last night I hosted my final event, The Pub House by Milano’s.

Thank you to everyone came to The Pub House by Milano and supported my Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada Fundraiser! Thank you to the people and businesses that donated silent auction items, who sold 50/50 tickets and went home with some amazing prizes??

Wonderful Silent Auction prizes!

Thank you to my friend Scott Campbell for sharing his story with everyone how the Wish Foundation changed his life, you are so kind hearted and brave?

Thank you to Sierra Levesque and Adam Saal for providing the entertainment for the night, you are both so talented and I’m so thankful for you both?

Thank you to Matt and all of the staff at the Pub House for providing amazing service to everyone?

My final thanks goes out to Marianne Minns , you took my ideas and helped me turn them into reality. Without you and your support, the night would not have been possible❤️

I have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement that I have received during my fundraising project for the Miss Teenage Canada Pageant. I live in a wonderful supportive and giving community!

Thank you to everyone who helped my accomplish my Fundraising Goal for the CHILDREN’S WISH FOUNDATION! We have all helped a few kids smile through their journeys!

Be Brave, Be Strong,

Emma, Miss Teenage Eastern Ontario
