Hello everyone! Yesterday night I arrived at the Centennial dorms where we will be staying for the duration of the Miss Teenage Canada Pageant. After a whole lot of fundraising, appearances, platform efforts and other means of preparation, the day has finally come for the Miss Teenage Canada Pageant 2019 to begin! Upon arriving, I was instantly greeted with a warm welcome from some of the delegates that had already arrived, many of which had flown in from Calgary. We instantly connected and I knew that this week was going to be amazing! Not long after I was brought up to my room and met my wonderful roommates: Janaya from Camrose, Alberta (left) and Milena from Sudbury, Ontario (right). Both of the girls are very energetic and I already know we will get along just fine for the week!
After settling into our living space (which has separate little rooms for each of us) we all sat together and shared stories. I learned that Janaya lives on a farm and has lots of pets and the Milena loves the name Whitby 🙂
Soon enough it was time for the Pizza and pajama party. All of the girls changed into pajamas and heading down to the party room with a spectacular view of the city. We enjoyed some delicious pizza and met the current Miss Teenage Canada Katelynne Lawrence and the current Miss World Canada Hanna Begovic. Both girls are incredibly sweet and I’m so glad I got to meet them. As for the other contestants, we met them as well. Apparently two of the contestants even have double jointed thumbs! I thought that was pretty cool. Then, the moment we’d all been waiting for… the cake! It was beautiful and absolutely delicious with the double chocolate and vanilla layers! Unfortunately the photo of it is not a valid JSON response so you’d have to check out my social media to see a picture of it. Then as all the fun wrapped up, each delegate was given their competition number for the show and I got number 20. It’s no number 3 but I’m pretty happy with my number 🙂
I would say that yesterday was a successful day one and I can’t wait to see what fun the rest of the week holds!
