Hello, Bonjour 🙂
This year’s Miss Teenage Canada’s Charity of Choice is the Children’s Wish Foundation.
This foundation creates joyful experiences for more than 25,000 children coping with a life-threatening illness. It is the country’s largest and only all-Canadian wish-granting charity.
All of the funds that I raise will go directly to the Children’s Wish Foundation which will be used to grant children’s wishes.
How I Have Raised Money For The Children’s Wish Foundation
I have raised money for the Children’s Wish Foundation in three main ways:
In My Neighbourhood
I went door to door in my neighbourhood raising money and awareness for the Children’s Wish Foundation. This brought awareness to not only the Children’s Wish Foundation but as well my title and Miss Teenage Canada.
My GoFundMe Page
I also started a GoFundMe page to help my fundraiser be more accessible for all of those in my community and around the world.
One of my sponsors, Central Park Athletics, has frequently shared my journey to Miss Teenage Canada and has helped me immensely in informing my community about my fundraiser for the Children’s Wish Foundation. Central Park Athletics even graciously put an ad in the Windsor Star wishing me good luck at Miss Teenage Canada. This ad will appear a couple days before the competition and as well throughout the week. This was a great help in promoting my title and am very thankful for all the support I have received.
I would like to thank everyone who has donated and supported me along my journey to Miss Teenage Canada, I greatly appreciate it!
We are all a part of making children’s wishes come true!
Let’s teach our children to be kind first. Everything else will follow. In agony, happiness, vagueness, joy – let us all be determined to be kind and spread kindness. One stone at a time will be turned, one life at a time will be touched. Be kind, be love.Shivangi
